Here are the details.

“TETSUYA KOMURO STUDIO”

About the Wine

The wine was matured while music from “JAZZY TOKEN,” an album by Tetsuya Komuro, representative director of SOUND PORT Co., Ltd., resonated directly through the wine barrel during maturation.

Onkyo developed it in collaboration with Chateau Jun, a JUN Group winery in Katsunuma, Koshu, Yamanashi, using technical expertise in sound and vibration accumulated over many years in the audio-equipment business.

Special vibration equipment was attached directly to the barrel and used to transmit all 27 tracks from the vinyl release of “JAZZY TOKEN,” including previously unreleased tracks, as sound vibrations during fermentation and maturation—an innovative production method.

Product Characteristics

The grape variety is Yama Sauvignon, and the label design uses a visual tone coordinated with the “JAZZY TOKEN” album jacket.

According to the developers, music-vibration maturation deepens the color while retaining a bright crimson hue and gives the palate greater smoothness, subtle nuance, and an elegant texture.

The flavor is characterized by tannin and alcoholic body reminiscent of extended bottle aging, while the aroma opens into unexpectedly vivid fruit notes for a grape with Yama-budo heritage.

Music-vibration maturation technology is attracting attention as an innovative winemaking method that could open new possibilities for Japanese wine.
