“JAM Fukui Katsuyama Tokyu Hotel & Resorts” will offer a stay package that visits winery and sake brewery producers and lets guests enjoy pairings of their beverages with dishes at the hotel.
The program will be held every Friday in November 2026, for a limited total of four dates.
About the stay package
Fukui’s Okuetsu area is home to two traditions of alcohol production: winemaking that makes use of wild mountain grapes native to Japan, and sake brewing that has been passed down over generations using the region’s abundant water and rice.
At dinner, both the wine and sake programs will feature three beverages from the producer visited, allowing guests to compare their aromas and flavors.
Program details
November 6 and 13 will feature the wine program, “A Journey to Visit Hakusan Winery.”
During the visit, guests will experience the scenery of the winery’s own vineyard at the foot of Mt. Kyogatake and hear directly from the producer about mountain-grape cultivation and winemaking.
Dinner is scheduled to include six Japanese and Western dishes paired with three wines from Hakusan Winery.
November 20 and 27 will feature the sake program, “A Journey to Visit Uno Shuzojo.”
In November, when sake brewing moves into full swing, the company president will personally guide guests through the brewery. He will explain the brewery’s history, its focus on brewing water, and the process by which rice is transformed into sake.
It is an experience that can only be had by visiting the brewery. Dinner will include six Japanese and Western dishes paired with three sakes from Uno Shuzojo.
