If you are a wine fan, you are likely more interested in food and beverage pairings than most people.
From September through October, Kissho CAREN is offering an accommodation plan that includes a tea pairing of six local Shizuoka teas to be enjoyed in marriage with a French Kaiseki dinner.
For Japanese wine fans, discovering the essence of Shizuoka tea—which Japan presents with pride to the world—is surely worthwhile as well.
Here are the details.
About the "Harmony of Shizuoka Tea and French Kaiseki" Accommodation Plan
The "Harmony of Shizuoka Tea and French Kaiseki" accommodation plan is a unique pairing plan that serves gyokuro, sencha, oolong tea (blue tea), Japanese black tea, and matcha from Shizuoka Prefecture—Japan's top tea-producing region—paired with a French Kaiseki course that blends delicate Japanese cuisine.
During dinner featuring Japanese spiny lobster, splendid alfonsino (boasting Japan's highest catch volume), and seasonal local fish, guests can pair their meal with exquisite Shizuoka tea.
