The sake brewery "Banjo Jozo" is widely supported by Japanese wine enthusiasts as well.
Starting November 14, 12 items from "DOMAINE KUHEIJI," the wine brand produced by the brewery in Burgundy, France, will be available at Enoteca shops across Japan and on Enoteca Online.
"DOMAINE KUHEIJI" is a remarkable domaine launched by a Japanese sake brewery in Morey-Saint-Denis, a prestigious wine-producing area of Burgundy.
Here are the details.
About "DOMAINE KUHEIJI"
"DOMAINE KUHEIJI" is a winery founded in Morey-Saint-Denis, Burgundy in 2013, with Hirotaka Ito, who has been involved in sake brewing at Banjo Jozo for 15 years, serving as the head of viticulture and winemaking.
After acquiring its own winery building directly in front of the Grand Cru vineyard Clos de Tart in 2015, it purchased 2.5 ha of estate vineyards in 2017.
Currently operating as both a domaine and a négociant, it produces wine in Burgundy, France.
It took as many as seven years from the start of the project to the first release.
In 2020, they released wines featuring 2017 as their first vintage, creating a huge buzz.
Banjo Jozo, the producer behind "DOMAINE KUHEIJI," is the world's only producer that crafts both sake and wine under the consistent philosophy of "creating alcoholic beverages that reflect the drama of the rice paddies and vineyards."

The Sake Brand "Kuno Kuheiji Honten" Is Also Being Released
In addition to "DOMAINE KUHEIJI," Enoteca will simultaneously launch the sale of Banjo Jozo's sake brand "Kuno Kuheiji Honten."
Here is the sake list↓

"Kuno Kuheiji Honten" is a sake crafted with a "domaine style" concept, expressing the culmination of estate-grown rice cultivation that began in 2010.
Kurodasho-cho in Hyogo Prefecture is the birthplace of Yamada Nishiki and one of the areas offering optimal growing conditions, and the Yamada Nishiki grown here yields sake with structure and complexity.
To express terroir, this rare sake is brewed using single-harvest-year rice grown on their own estate, vinified according to three distinct parcels—Takada, Fukuchi, and Monryu—and enables long-term aging through the use of Champagne bottles and corks.
The Only Brewery Where You Can Compare Sake and Wine Side by Side!
Enoteca features both "DOMAINE KUHEIJI," the winery representing Banjo Jozo's challenge in Burgundy, and "Kuno Kuheiji Honten," which specializes in long-term-aging sake made with their highest-grade estate rice, often referred to as the Grand Cru of Yamada Nishiki.
Comparing the sake and wine produced by a single producer promises to be a truly unique experience.
Japanese wine fans should certainly check it out.
