Recently, the first six wines were released by the winery "Domaine Beau" located in the Tatenohara area of Nanto City, Toyama Prefecture.
The winery "Domaine Beau" is a new winery established by Trebeau Co., Ltd. out of a desire to revitalize their home prefecture of Toyama and give back to society.
The six wines released this time are said to be luxuriously crafted Japanese wines made with European grape varieties.
Characteristics of Domaine Beau

Domaine Beau is a winery established in November 2017.
Currently, it cultivates 27,000 grapevines across 12 hectares of vineyards, with plans to expand to 18 hectares in 2022.
The area surrounding the winery's vineyards is also active in agricultural crop cultivation, and because the plants turn golden in autumn, it is named "Côte d'Or."
At Domaine Beau, smart agriculture adopting state-of-the-art technologies—including ICT, IoT, AI, and 5G—is being implemented.
In addition, the person in charge of brewing has 10 years of experience as a toji (master brewer) at a sake brewery in Toyama Prefecture,
applying sake fermentation techniques and wisdom to winemaking.
Furthermore, a winemaker who has honed their skills through extensive experience at Maruki Winery and Suntory is involved in the winemaking
.
Incidentally, the name "Domaine Beau" means "beautiful winery" in French, reflecting their goal of producing wines with an elegant, well-balanced, and beautiful flavor that takes advantage of the cool climate of the Tatenohara area.
With a logo featuring motifs of the sun and stars—both essential to winemaking—there is no doubt that this is a winery to watch in the future.

Undoubtedly a Winery to Keep an Eye on!

All six wines introduced here were pre-released in Toyama Prefecture and were reportedly selected as pairing wines to accompany the cuisine of Owner-Chef Eiji Taniguchi of "L’évo," a renowned restaurant in Nanto City, Toyama Prefecture.
Regarding the "C'est Si Bon Merlot & Marselan 2020," Chef Taniguchi commented: "With botanical aromas of mulberries, small red berries, and saffron, along with fine tannins and a smooth mouthfeel, this stylish, simple red wine pairs wonderfully with ingredients of the coming spring season and will shine brightly in pairings during the first to middle half of the course."
Recognized by culinary professionals, Domaine Beau is sure to continue producing wines that will capture attention going forward.
