In particular, those who have a strong interest in sparkling wine may want to gain deep knowledge about Champagne, the world's premier sparkling wine region.
Now, the "CHAMPAGNE SPECIALIST" certification course accredited by the Comité Champagne has opened for the first time in Japan.

About "CHAMPAGNE SPECIALIST"
"CHAMPAGNE SPECIALIST" is a certification course held at Caplan Wine Academy.
"CHAMPAGNE SPECIALIST" is an accredited course certified by the Comité Champagne, and this marks the very first time the certification course is being offered in Japan.
Caplan Wine Academy previously offered a "Champagne Basic Course" for Champagne enthusiasts in Japan; this track record was recognized by the Comité Champagne, leading to the launch of Japan's first course for acquiring the committee-accredited "CHAMPAGNE SPECIALIST" qualification.
Course Content
The "CHAMPAGNE SPECIALIST" certification course mainly consists of the following content:
Session 1: Overview, Tasting, Champagne and Food Pairing
Practical training: Workshop "Perfect Pairing Introduction"
Session 2: Session 2 The Terroir of Champagne
Practical training: Workshop "Champagne Game"
Session 3: Session 3 Champagne Production Methods
Practical training: Workshop "Cellar Master"
Session 4: Session 4 Advice, Service, Storage
Practical training: Workshop "Interactions at the Wine Shop"
Session 5: Certification Exam
The tuition fee is 120,000 yen (132,000 yen including tax *includes wine and textbook costs), with a capacity of 13 participants.
Applications for the November session have already closed, and the next session is scheduled for February 2025.
