On Friday, August 22, 2025, Hikariya Nishi in Matsumoto, Nagano Prefecture will hold “Makers Dinner vol.02 Azumino.”
The dinner is the second in a series connecting producers with food and communicating the appeal of Shinshu ingredients.

About Hikariya Nishi “Makers Dinner vol.02 Azumino”
The event is the second installment of a series at French restaurant Hikariya Nishi that connects producers and cuisine to showcase the appeal of ingredients from Shinshu.
The theme and setting this time is Azumino. One sake brewery and two wineries — three producers in total — will gather for an evening exploring the depth of terroir through grapes and rice nurtured by clear Northern Alps water and alluvial-fan soils.

Hikariya Nishi sommelier Masashi Kurihara commented that he has deep respect for the way each producer sincerely engages with the land of Azumino from a different perspective and pursues a distinctive expression. Although they share the same Azumino field, wine and sake will intersect on this occasion, and he hopes guests will enjoy discovering what kind of unexpected chemistry emerges from their individual characters.
Together with new combinations featuring Chef Tanabe's French cuisine designed to draw out the best of Shinshu ingredients, the event invites guests to spend a special evening “tasting the land” alongside the producers.
Capacity is limited to the first 25 guests and reservations are required.
