Awaji Nature Lab & Resort, a circular-nature facility on Awaji Island, will hold a three-part “Wine Course with Natural Winemaker Hiromu Ooka” beginning Saturday, April 26.

Here are the details.

About the Wine Course with Hiromu Ooka

Course Content

The course consists of three sessions beginning Saturday, April 26.

Session 1 on April 26, titled “What Is Natural Wine?”, explains definitions of natural wine in France and the differences between organic and conventional viticulture.

Session 2 on May 24, “A Year in the Vineyard and Winemaking,” explores how differences in vine training by region affect the taste of wine.

The final session on June 28, “Winemaking Techniques and Differences in Wine,” compares conventional vinification with natural-wine methods and builds practical understanding of winemaking.
