New In-Flight-Style Meal Menu Launched Starting April 18 to Celebrate the 6th Anniversary of In-Airport "Osaka Airport Winery"!

Swimy Japan Co., Ltd. operates three wineries in Osaka and Tokyo: Osaka Airport Winery, Fukagawa Winery Tokyo, and Shibuya Winery Tokyo.

Starting April 18, a "daitai" (substitute) in-flight-style meal menu will make its debut at the in-airport "Osaka Airport Winery" to celebrate roughly its 6th anniversary.

Here are the details.

About Osaka Airport Winery

Osaka Airport Winery is the world's first airport winery, opened in April 2018 inside Osaka International Airport (Itami Airport).

Small-scale winemaking is carried out right inside the airport.

The adjacent restaurant serves Italian cuisine, such as pasta and meat dishes that pair well with wine, focusing primarily on ingredients sourced within a 50-mile radius.

From restaurant seats, guests can view the wine tanks and brewing operations through glass, and freshly made wine is served directly from the barrel inside the establishment.

About the Substitute In-Flight Meal Menu

The newly released menu items are in-flight-style meals that will bring a smile to airport and travel enthusiasts.

Inspired by airline meals, there are two plates to choose from—meat or fish. The meat plate is "Roasted Awaji Mochi Pork with Awaji Green Onion Sauce," prepared with ingredients from the Kansai region.

The fish plate features "OSAKA-style Seafood Kushikatsu and Salmon with Setouchi Lemon Cream Sauce," allowing guests to enjoy Osaka-style seafood deep-fried skewers.

Each plate comes with a choice of rice or bread, accompanied by takoyaki with a cute food pick of the airport mascot character Sorayan, homemade dessert, salad, and more, allowing guests to enjoy little bites of Osaka's delicacies all on a single plate.

Furthermore, it includes a mini glass of wine crafted by Osaka Airport Winery.
