We spoke with Mori, who handles party consultations and service with clients, to ask about how things proceed on the ground.

It seems they provide guidance from various angles beyond just the taste of the wine itself—such as places connected to the bride and groom or pairings with the menu dishes.
Furthermore, they are professionals holding specialized qualifications like sommelier certifications and the Japanese Wine Test.
It is incredibly reassuring to be able to choose wines together with knowledgeable experts who can offer advice from multiple perspectives.
In addition, even more staff members are currently striving together, holding study sessions to pass the Japanese Wine Test.
We expect the selection of Japanese wine offered will expand even further in the future.

The "Japanese Wine Test: Japan Wine Master & Japan Wine Advisor Certification Examination" is the only examination related to Japanese wine, launched in April 2011 to promote accurate knowledge and awareness of Japanese wine.

The exam content ranges from fundamental topics regarding Japanese wine—such as viticulture, winemaking, regions, and history—to higher levels (Level 2 and Level 1) that test advanced specialized knowledge and tasting ability.

Those who pass Level 3 receive Level 3 certification, Level 2 pass holders gain permission to use the title "J.W.E.C. Japanese Wine Advisor," and Level 1 pass holders gain permission to use the title "J.W.E.C. Japanese Wine Master."
