The “ARC” in Japan Wine Agricultural Research Institute “JW-ARC” means an arch or arc, symbolizing the idea of connecting people through wine.\n\nIn French, a rainbow is “arc-en-ciel,” literally an arch in the sky. By replacing “ciel” (sky) with “vigne” (vine), the new winery space where wine lovers and wine producers gather was named “ARC-EN-VIGNE”—an arch of people connected by vines.
