小坂七滝ワイナリー

A long-awaited winery is opening in a small town in northern Tohoku, home to Lake Towada in a national park and lined with industrial heritage sites retaining traces of a prosperous mining era.

It is located along the Jukai Line leading from the town center toward Lake Towada. The surrounding area forms a green tourism hub centered around "Nanataki," one of Japan's Top 100 Waterfalls, complete with a roadside station, direct-sale produce facilities, and agricultural and livestock processing facilities.

The winery will use locally rooted grapes to brew distinctive, authentic Japanese wine, and high hopes are held for its future development as a facility where visitors can see and experience the craft.
