Sweets Using Yamanashi Wine Wanted! Yamanashi Prefecture Holds “Yamanashi Sweets Contest 2025”

Yamanashi Prefecture is holding the “Yamanashi Sweets Contest 2025.”

The contest is intended to build momentum around sweets made with prefectural fruit and provide pastry chefs and others with a place to present the results of their professional development. Entries using Yamanashi wine are also being accepted.

Here are the details.

About the “Yamanashi Sweets Contest 2025”

The “Yamanashi Sweets Contest 2025” is organized by Yamanashi Prefecture as a venue to encourage interest in sweets made with local fruit and for pastry chefs and others to showcase the results of their training and development.

The contest was also held in fiscal 2024, attracting 83 entries from inside and outside the prefecture, including many highly creative and sophisticated works.

Entries Using Yamanashi Wine Are Also Wanted!

The “Yamanashi Sweets Contest 2025” is held in step with the peak seasons of Yamanashi’s representative fruits, and applications are now open for sweets that make the most of locally grown fruit.

Several divisions are offered. In the sweets division using Yamanashi wine, entries must combine prefectural fruit with wine produced in Yamanashi. No winery is specified, so participants may choose freely, and either red or white wine may be used.

If you are interested, consider entering the contest.
