Held for the First Time in Three Years
November 3 is the release day for Yamanashi Nouveau.
To coincide with this, the "Yamanashi Nouveau Matsuri" was held at Hibiya Park in Tokyo for the first time in three years.
With the event returning after such a long time, more than 3,500 visitors attended!
Amid the enthusiastic atmosphere of the visitors, we spoke with Mitsuhiro Anzo, President of the Yamanashi Wine and Spirits Manufacturers' Association, the organizer of this event.
Signs of a Great Vintage
According to Mr. Anzo, this year's Yamanashi Nouveau is turning out exceptionally well.
In the association's vintage evaluation, it received a high score of 4 out of 5.
There is no doubt that this year's vintage will be delicious!
Long lines of visitors eager for wine formed at every booth.
Among them, wineries that are usually difficult to obtain, such as Domaine Hide and Domaine Q, were particularly popular.
Since it was the first event in three years, the participating winery members were smiling throughout, making for a truly enjoyable Nouveau Matsuri.
Starting with the nouveau wines, the coming season is when wine becomes even more delicious.
It was a clear autumn day at Hibiya Park where one could truly feel the growing excitement for Japanese wine.
