About "Yamagata Vindage 2025"
"Yamagata Vindage 2025" is a bar-hopping event organized by the Yamagata Wine and Sake Brewers Association, offering the chance to enjoy wines from Yamagata Prefecture all in one go.
Organized directly by the Yamagata Wine and Sake Brewers Association, which consists of 20 wineries within Yamagata Prefecture, the event is designed to let attendees fully appreciate the charm of Yamagata wine.
Incidentally, "Vindage" is a coined word combining "vin" (the French word for wine) and "daje" (a Yamagata dialect word meaning "it is!"), created from a desire to help people feel closer to Yamagata wines.
Under the theme of "Sparkling Yamagata," it was reportedly decided to hold the event in Tokyo out of a wish to introduce a fresh, new side of Yamagata wines that differs from what has been known before.
