About the "Enjoying Terroir Through Tsukuba Wine" Series
The "Enjoying Terroir Through Tsukuba Wine" series is a popular series within Hotel Nikko Tsukuba's "Tsukutabi" plans.
This event is the 3rd installment of the "Enjoying Terroir Through Tsukuba Wine" series collaborating with a winery in the city, and this time it will be held at Tsukuba Winery.
About the Event Content
In the 3rd installment of "Enjoying Terroir Through Tsukuba Wine", participants will first visit the "Tsukuba Geo Museum" inside Mount Tsukuba Gate Park, which opened last November as a base facility for the "Mount Tsukuba Area Geopark," certified as a Japanese Geopark.
Afterward, at "Tsukuba Winery" located at the foot of Mount Tsukuba, experiences planned include a stroll through the vineyards and a workshop led by food coordinator Mayuko Tanojima on making colorful pickles from local vegetables using handmade wine vinegar.
During lunch time, participants can enjoy tastings of three types of wines specially selected by the hotel's sommelier, alongside an outdoor lunch on the open grounds offering panoramic views of the vineyards and Mount Tsukuba.
Incidentally, the 4th installment of this winery project is scheduled for February 2025.
