"Umi-Pro Original Label Campbell Early" is a collaboration wine with Tsuno Wine.
It was developed as part of The Nippon Foundation's "Ocean and Japan Project," which connects people through the sea in order to pass on rich, beautiful oceans to future generations.
An Opportunity to Reflect on Marine Environmental Issues
The terroir of Tsuno Wine (the environment that influences grape quality) is the "sea."
There are geological strata showing that the very land where Tsuno Wine sits was at the bottom of the sea 350,000 years ago, and it is believed that the grapevines' roots absorb these nutrients, making the grapes delicious.
The newly created label depicts the townscape of Tsuno Town and the Hyuga Sea as seen from the hill of Tsuno Wine.
It reportedly expresses the hope that many people who pick up this wine will discover the beauty of the Hyuga Sea and take the opportunity to think about marine environmental issues.
