"TAKANAWA GATEWAY CITY Town Opening Pre-Year Festival in March" is an event planned by East Japan Railway Company to build momentum one year ahead of the opening of "TAKANAWA GATEWAY CITY," which will celebrate its town opening in March 2025.

The event plans to feature a town introduction area, live radio public broadcasts, cutting-edge robot delivery, a marche, and more.
Among the projects will be a wine stand titled "Shinshu Matsumoto Daira Craft Wine LOVER Wine Stand," where visitors can compare carefully crafted wines brewed by nine wineries across Shinshu Matsumoto Daira, home to both the Kikyogahara and Japan Alps wine valleys.
Furthermore, the venue will feature a booth where visitors can try return gifts offered by municipalities in the Matsumoto Daira region via "JRE MALL Hometown Tax Donation."
