Cave de Relax Co., Ltd. has signed a Wine Ambassador agreement with Toru Takamatsu.
Mr. Takamatsu is known as the first Japanese national to pass the Master Sommelier examination certified by the UK's Court of Master Sommeliers.

About Toru Takamatsu
Toru Takamatsu was born in Sydney, Australia.
In 2016, at the age of 21, he was hired as a runner (server) at Rockpool Dining Group, and in September of the same year, he passed Level 1 (Introductory) and Level 2 (Certified) of the Court of Master Sommeliers.
The following year, he passed Level 3 (Advanced) and applied for the invitation-only final examination, the Master Sommelier Diploma (MS).
In 2018, he moved to London and worked at Hide Restaurant, which carries 7,000 varieties of wine; in the same year, he was invited to the examination and passed both theory and practical service.
In 2019, he passed the tasting examination, becoming the first Japanese holder of the Master Sommelier title.
Mr. Takamatsu is also currently active as a member of the Local Vitalization Cooperator in Yoichi Town, Hokkaido.
He has been training at Domaine Takahiko from 2020 to the present.

High Expectations for Toru Takamatsu's Endeavors!
Toru Takamatsu's term of office is one year starting October 1, 2022, marking his second term as Wine Ambassador for the company following 2021.
During his term, he plans to organize projects on the company's online store and hold seminars (including webinars) focused primarily on Japanese wine.
