About the AJU Wine Festa in Tajimi Monastery
The AJU Wine Festa in Tajimi Monastery is a wine event organized by the social welfare corporation AJU Independent Living Home and held at Tajimi Monastery in Tajimi, Gifu Prefecture, since 2004.
For one day each year under the autumn sky, visitors can enjoy wine beneath the monastery’s grapevines.
Selected Japanese Wines Available
The event will serve more than 20 selected Japanese wines from across the country, including wines made from grapes harvested at Tajimi Monastery.
Upon entering, guests exchange their ticket for a Wine Festa original wine (720 ml), an original wine glass, and a 500 ml bottle of mineral water, then use the glass as their personal glass throughout the event.
There will also be a wide food selection based on the concept of pairing with wine, with glass wines and soft drinks sold inside the venue.
Stage events return this year as well. Highlights include a wine seminar by sommelier Sachiko Shima and live performances by Tatsuya Kawaharazaki, Ken Valdis and Jun Kobayashi.
