A tasting and sales event bringing together producers from Japan’s Chugoku region was held at the popular Wine Shop nico in Shibuya Fukuras.
About 60 guests attended across the two sessions, discovering new wines, hearing directly from each producer, and enjoying wines from the Chugoku region.
We also interviewed several of the producers.

Participating Wineries
Five wineries took part:
・Hiroshima Miyoshi Winery (Hiroshima)
・Okayama Wine Valley (Okayama)
・Shimane Wine (Shimane)
・Hojo Wine (Tottori)
・Yamanokyo Ota Winery (Hiroshima)
The event also served as an on-site sales fair, with Mr. Aragaki of nico explaining how the system worked.
Guests could taste wines while listening to producers, check the price list, and then purchase favorites on the spot for takeaway or delivery.
Admission was ¥1,000, with a welcome ¥1,000 cashback for anyone purchasing two bottles.
Many visitors thoroughly enjoyed wines from the Chugoku region.
It was an excellent chance to casually enjoy wines from western Japan in Shibuya.
Depending on the item, Wine Shop nico will continue to carry wines from these producers.
