The campaign reached its ¥25 million goal on June 10, and support continued afterward, bringing the total to ¥29 million as of June 12.
The final deadline for contributions is reportedly 11 p.m. today, Friday, June 13.

About the Project
The Japan Wine Grape Growers Association's crowdfunding campaign to establish “one of Japan's largest wine-grape mother vine gardens” aims to build a system capable of steadily supplying growers nationwide with a diverse range of virus-tested planting material they can use with confidence.
Over the next eight years, the association plans to establish a supply system covering more than 200 varieties.
The project is intended to accomplish these goals and help build a foundation for sustainable grape growing.

The crowdfunding campaign, which has been underway since April 15, 2025, reached its ¥25 million target on June 10.
However, the association says the true goal is to create “a society in which Japanese wine continues to thrive 50 and 100 years from now.”
The Japan Wine Grape Growers Association aims to build a foundation that allows Japanese wine producers to freely choose safe and diverse wine-grape varieties and continue taking on new challenges with confidence, while protecting a future in which Japanese wine can continue to earn recognition around the world.
Further support is expected to fund future-focused investments such as development of nursery fields, greater varietal diversity in planting material, and education and research for the next generation in the field.
