On Saturday, November 14, 2026, the Fairfield by Marriott Michi-no-Eki Project will host a special event, "Winery Tour & Nouveau Tasting," in collaboration with "Sera Winery" located in Sera Town, Hiroshima Prefecture.
It is a special event to meet the winemakers and taste the newly released wines right after their official debut.
About the Special Event
Sera Winery is a winery committed to crafting Japanese wine without relying on imported concentrated juice, using only grapes cultivated by contract farmers within the town.
Through a guided tour visiting the winemaking site and a tasting session to sample the nouveau freshly produced this autumn, this event will offer a special time to experience Sera's terroir and the producers' passion.
Event Details
In Part 1, a winery tour will be held to visit the site where wine is born.
Guided by Yuta Hashimoto, head winemaker at Sera Winery, participants will get close to the winemaking scene and experience the story of how the local terroir is transformed into a glass of wine.
In Part 2, the venue moves to the hotel, welcoming Yasuharu Hata, facility manager and sommelier at Sera Winery, for a tasting session of Sera wines, including the newly released nouveau.
The highlight of this event is the 2026 vintage nouveau, which was just released on October 31.
This newly made wine, freshly brewed from harvested grapes, is characterized by its fresh fruity aroma and juicy flavor, making it a special wine that can only be enjoyed this autumn.
On the day, several other types of wine crafted by Sera Winery will also be available alongside the nouveau, offering an irresistible lineup for Japanese wine fans.
