Suntory Tomi No Oka Winery Finally Reopens After Renewal! Public Opening Begins!

Suntory Tomi No Oka Winery of Suntory Ltd. has finally undergone a renewal.

It opened to the general public today, Friday, September 9.

Here are the details.

About the Renewal

Suntory Tomi No Oka Winery renewed and opened on Friday, September 9.

The renewal was carried out with the goal of creating a winery where visitors can experience the blessings of nature and the deliciousness of wine, centered around "craftsmanship techniques and passion."

It features the opening of the "Fujimi Terrace," a "wine terrace for fully enjoying great nature," a refreshed wine shop, and new spatial presentation in the aging cellar.

Additionally, the winery tours for visitors have also been renewed.

Furthermore, the "SUNTORY FROM FARM Wine no Mirai" series is on sale in limited quantities starting Friday, September 9—the same day as the winery's renewal—at the shop inside the winery and on the company's EC site "Wine Biyori."

By visiting this location, guests can gain a deep understanding of Suntory's initiatives in Japanese wine.

About the Revamped Tours

Among the highlights of this renewal, the revamped tours are especially noteworthy.

Multiple tours have been prepared so that visitors can enjoy experiences suited to their preferences, such as "feeling nature" or "experiencing winemaking."

  • "Koshu Vineyard Walking Tour"
  • "Wine Aging Cellar Tour"
  • "FROM FARM Winery Tour"

Among them, the "FROM FARM Winery Tour" is a special tour where visitors can tour the observation deck overlooking "Tomi no Oka," the vineyards, and the aging cellar, while experiencing the appeal of Suntory Japanese wine carefully nurtured over time with the craftsmanship and passion of the producers, as well as the history and dedication of winemaking at Tomi No Oka Winery.

Furthermore, visitors can taste Japanese wine, including "noble rot wine," which can be described as a miraculous crystallization of the winery's viticultural and winemaking techniques.
