Starting in July 2021, Minamisanriku Winery Co., Ltd. will launch the "Shizugawa Bay R&B Cruise."
This cruise allows guests to tour the islands and fishing grounds of Shizugawa Bay while enjoying local seafood and wine, offering a special experience to savor the gastronomy and wine of Shizugawa Bay.

About the "Shizugawa Bay R&B Cruise"
Surrounded by mountains on three sides, Shizugawa Bay is located at the center of Minamisanriku.
It is situated in the southern part of the Sanriku Coast, famous for its rias coastline, and is also registered as a Ramsar site wetland.
In addition to thriving aquaculture for oysters, coho salmon, and scallops, the bay is a treasure trove of seafood where fishing for octopus, conger eel, Pacific cod, mackerel, and abalone is also conducted.
On the "Shizugawa Bay R&B Cruise," guests board the "BLUE CANVAS," a small cruise boat renovated from a fishing vessel, to cruise while gazing at the islands of Shizugawa Bay.
In addition to touring aquaculture grounds and watching daily operations, if timing permits, you can even hear stories directly from local fishermen.
Experience the Mariage of Local Ingredients and Wine
On the "Shizugawa Bay R&B Cruise," you can also experience the marriage of local ingredients and wine.
Featuring pairings of seasonal seafood from Shizugawa Bay with wine brewed in Minamisanriku, meals are served at Minamisanriku Winery, where the fishing port stretches out right before your eyes.
You can enjoy a multi-course dinner with the overnight plan, or a one-plate lunch with the day-trip plan.
In addition, guests can tour the brewing facilities at Minamisanriku Winery, and plans combined with various experience programs within Minamisanriku Town will also be offered.
