Enjoy over 30 types of Hokkaido wine by the glass every day! Wine auberge "Higashikawa PERICAN" opens on April 19!

On Friday, April 19, the wine auberge "Higashikawa PERICAN" opened in Higashikawa Town, Hokkaido.

It is a wine auberge where guests can enjoy around 30 to 50 types of wine by the glass every day.

Here are the details.

About "Higashikawa PERICAN"

"Higashikawa PERICAN" is a wine auberge run by Ken Sano, who previously served as the owner-chef of the standalone restaurant "Hiroo Pelican" in Tokyo.

While visiting wine producers in Hokkaido, he became captivated by Hokkaido's wines, ingredients, and great nature, leading him to relocate with his family to Higashikawa Town in May 2023.

In late January 2024, he completed the auberge, featuring two guest rooms and a 14-seat restaurant, and it has now finally celebrated its grand opening.

The Appeal of Higashikawa PERICAN

The appeal of Higashikawa PERICAN lies in being able to thoroughly enjoy the cuisine and wine at the restaurant, and then drifting off to sleep right in your room.

Two course options are prepared for both lunch and dinner.

In addition to offering around 30 to 50 types of Hokkaido wine by the glass on a daily changing basis, guests can also select their favorite wine at the wine shop "Coperi" and enjoy it by the bottle.

They also offer a "Wine Ticket for 10,000 yen (10 glasses)" that allows you to enjoy wine at any time during your stay.

You can share the 10 glasses with your companion, or indulge luxuriously by planning when to savor all 10 glasses by yourself—both are great ways to enjoy it.

With convenient access just about 15 minutes by car from Asahikawa Airport, why not check it out if you are interested?
