Hokkaido Broadcasting's first program on penguin is a wine dialogue show featuring Honorary Sommelier Higuchi-kun of Hige Danshaku and producers!

Hokkaido Broadcasting has adopted ANA's video streaming service "penguin" as a platform to distribute programs beyond its local broadcasting area and sell Hokkaido products.

The third installment of the penguin × regional programming collaboration is a wine dialogue show featuring Honorary Sommelier Higuchi-kun of Hige Danshaku and producers.

Here are the details.

About "penguin"

"penguin" is ANA's video streaming service.

It drew attention when it began streaming and selling local dramas highlighting the charms of various regions across Japan on Monday, July 1, 2024.

This time, Hokkaido Broadcasting endorsed the concept of reaching viewers interested in regions throughout Japan and generating new demand via "penguin," a video streaming service operated by the ANA Group, which is deeply rooted in communities nationwide.

They have reportedly adopted it as a platform for distributing programs beyond their regional broadcast area and selling Hokkaido products.

Promoting Hokkaido Wine!

The main content of Hokkaido Broadcasting's first program featured on penguin consists of dialogues with producers alongside Shinichiro Higuchi, also known as "Higuchi-kun of Hige Danshaku," who has been appointed an Honorary Sommelier ("Sommelier d'Honneur") by the Japan Sommelier Association.

In addition, "Wine that Tastes Better When You Watch," from the YouTube channel "PAIRINGx"—which supports Japanese wine and Hokkaido-made wine through features on restaurants offering rare wines, food menu pairings, and more—will be distributed and available for purchase.

The details URL will launch on December 6.
