The Okayama Prefectural Tourism Federation is running the “Okayama Hareiro Campaign 2025” through October 31, 2025.

As part of the campaign, a must-see event for Japanese wine fans will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025.

It is the Hayashi Grape Labo × La Grande Colline Japon Talk & Dinner.

This is a rare opportunity to enjoy exceptional wines.

Here are the details.

About Hayashi Grape Labo and La Grande Colline Japon

The main attractions of this talk and dinner are Hayashi Grape Labo and La Grande Colline Japon.

Hayashi Grape Labo is a grape-growing family in Okayama Prefecture with more than 100 years of history. Breeder Shingo Hayashi, who grows more than 100 grape varieties including Muscat Zipangu, will appear at the event.

La Grande Colline Japon is a renowned producer familiar to Japanese wine fans, and its representative, Hirotake Ooka, will also take part.

Ooka is a highly accomplished winemaker who produced genuine vin naturel in France’s Rhône region. His distinguished career includes serving as vineyard manager for Guigal in the Hermitage area and as head of viticulture for Thierry Allemand in Cornas.

He returned to Japan in 2016 and founded La Grande Colline Japon in Okayama Prefecture.

As one of Japan’s leading natural-wine producers, he has won an enthusiastic following among wine lovers.

About the Talk & Dinner

At the Hayashi Grape Labo × La Grande Colline Japon Talk & Dinner, guests can enjoy dishes made with rare grapes grown by Hayashi.

Naturally, there will also be plenty of wines from La Grande Colline Japon to enjoy.

Ooka also consults in France and had originally been scheduled to appear online because of his trip there. However, the harvest began earlier than expected and he decided to return to Japan ahead of schedule.

As a result, Ooka will attend the event in person.

Takayuki Watanabe, owner of wineshop & stand slowcave in Okayama City, is also scheduled to appear. Hayashi, Ooka and Watanabe will hold a three-person talk session on the theme “The Future of Okayama Wine.”

It promises to be a special evening in which guests can fully experience the appeal of Okayama wine.

Enjoy an Unforgettable, Luxurious Evening

The Hayashi Grape Labo × La Grande Colline Japon Talk & Dinner combines outstanding food and wine with passionate conversation from grape and wine professionals whose stories are rarely heard firsthand.

The venue is THE MAGRITTE in Okayama City, Okayama Prefecture, starting at 18:30.
