“Nikka Cidre,” a sparkling apple wine popular among Japanese wine fans, is being renewed.
Starting in early September, the product will gradually go on sale under the new name “Nikka Hirosaki Nama Cidre.”
Here are the details.
About “Nikka Hirosaki Nama Cidre”
“Nikka Hirosaki Nama Cidre” is a sparkling apple wine that has been produced since 1960, the year the Nikka Whisky Hirosaki Plant was established.
Made with 100% Japanese apples, it uses juice pressed from whole fresh apples and fermented without heat treatment, allowing the fresh, juicy character of the apples to shine through.
About the Renewal
The newly renewed “Nikka Hirosaki Nama Cidre” has been refreshed as a brand that conveys the warmth of Hirosaki’s natural bounty and the gentle, authentic flavor of apples.
Both the brand name and package have been changed to emphasize that it is brewed at a plant in nature-rich Hirosaki and that it is a “nama cidre,” made without applying heat during production.
The company says it hopes to once again highlight the distinctive value that has earned long-standing support.
