NIKI Hills Winery Launches “Wine Tea” for International Women’s Day on March 8

NIKI Hills Winery will launch “Wine Tea” on March 8 to coincide with International Women's Day.

This special tea upcycles grape pomace produced during the winemaking process.

Here are the details.

Background

“Wine Tea” is a new product from NIKI Hills Winery.

The product was reportedly born from concerns among female staff members — including those on the winery's vineyard, winemaking, and sommelier teams — about the physical demands of their work and its environmental impact.

It looks set to become an important first step in the winery's challenge of pursuing regenerative practices: circulating local resources and passing the vitality of the land on to the next generation.

About the Product

The product uses Pinot Noir from the winery's own vineyard.

Designed for anyone to enjoy, it is caffeine-free, allowing pregnant or breastfeeding people, as well as those who prefer caffeine-free drinks, to enjoy the rich aroma associated with wine.

The winery is also making multifaceted use of grape pomace, including supplying it as feed to local poultry farmers and using it in restaurant dishes and as a material in candles and accessories.

This product represents another new step in those efforts.
