On Saturday, May 17, 2025, Wine Cellar GRECO No. 2 will hold “A Beginner-Friendly Wine Seminar in Ogikubo — Chardonnay Edition.”
Here are the details.
About the Chardonnay seminar
The event is the Chardonnay edition of GRECO’s beginner-friendly “Wines Around the World” seminar series.
It is designed to let participants explore the depth of Chardonnay and how its aroma, flavor, and finish can change dramatically depending on where it is grown.
Together with a highly qualified instructor who also serves as a wine-competition judge, participants can compare Chardonnays from three countries and different terroirs.
Tasting lineup
The planned tasting wines are:
▷ TOMOE Chardonnay Crisp 2023 (Japan / Miyoshi Winery, Hiroshima)
— Fresh fruit character and a clean feel, with excellent compatibility with Japanese cuisine
▷ Mâcon Aux Bois d’Allier 2022 (France / Domaine Cordier)
— Roundness and minerality characteristic of southern Burgundy
▷ Elgin Chardonnay Clonal Selection 2019 (South Africa / Richard Kershaw)
