The significance of the new NEXT GENERATION label can be summarized as follows.
1. Focus on the Next Generation of Winemakers
Create a place to consider both the present and future of Japanese wine.
2. Share the Passion and Challenges of Seventh-Generation Winemakers
Introduce their efforts to create a new wine culture while inheriting tradition.
3. Expand the Younger Drinking Audience and Support Further Growth of Japanese Wine
Set prices and formats that make participation easy for people in their 20s and 30s as well as newcomers to Japanese wine, sparking interest among drinkers across a wide range of generations.
4. Experience the Future of Japanese Wine and Build It Together
Provide an opportunity to think about the future of Japanese wine together through the work of next-generation winemakers.
Japanese wine has now become a presence that attracts attention not only at home but around the world.
We increasingly hear encouraging news that would have been difficult to imagine a decade or more ago, including a growing number of Japanese wines winning awards at internationally recognized competitions.
Quality has improved dramatically. The next question is what vision will guide Japanese wine’s future development, how its culture will be created, and how that future itself will take shape.
Against this backdrop, NEXT GENERATION is an important label looking 10 years, 20 years, and even further ahead by focusing on young winemakers who will carry Japanese wine into the future.
---The future of Japanese wine starts here.
