Japan Go Round Co., Ltd. has announced the business concept for its membership-based home winery project, “La Maison Rustique.”
Planting of grapevines is scheduled to begin in spring 2026.
Here are the details.
About “La Maison Rustique”
“La Maison Rustique” is a membership-based home winery business that Japan Go Round Co., Ltd. plans to open in autumn 2027.
Its concept is “Take time for what you love.” The winery will be located in Tomi City, Nagano Prefecture (Chikuma River Wine Valley), one of Japan’s leading Japanese wine regions.
Rustique aims to cultivate the vineyard and winery together with its members, called “Famille,” expressing the character of the land directly while creating wines in Tomi that connect Japan with the world.
Five features of “La Maison Rustique”
“La Maison Rustique” has the following five features:
1. Winemaking that takes advantage of the cool climate at 900 meters above sea level and the large temperature difference between day and night
2. Facility design by a Pritzker Prize-winning architect, along with a diverse range of exchange and experience programs
3. Terroir experiences linked with tour operations
4. A warm community built on trust and time spent together, like returning to a home in the countryside
5. Creating value for the future that can be passed down across generations
At “La Maison Rustique,” approximately 5,000 red- and white-wine grapevines are scheduled to be planted in April 2026.
