On Sunday, February 23, a “Wine & Early Dinner Event with Winemakers from Miyazaki Prefecture and Kawasaki City — Enjoy Miyazaki Ingredients!” will be held at Kawasaki King Skyfront Tokyu REI Hotel.
It is a rare wine event enjoyed together with winemakers from Miyazaki and Kawasaki.

About the Wine & Early Dinner Event
The event offers wines from both Miyazaki Prefecture and Kawasaki City together with a range of dishes featuring Miyazaki’s rich ingredients.
It is the first such initiative, held to commemorate the 10th anniversary of collaboration between Miyazaki Prefecture and Kawasaki City following their basic agreement on collaboration and cooperation signed in November 2014.
Kawasaki King Skyfront Tokyu REI Hotel, the venue, is located close to Haneda Airport. In addition to serving as a base supporting travel between the two regions, it is described as the world’s first hydrogen hotel and places strong emphasis on reducing environmental impact.
The hotel supports the agreement between Miyazaki and Kawasaki and is collaborating on the event by providing the early dinner and an in-house tour.
Program
The main program includes:
(1) A variety of dishes generously using ingredients from Miyazaki Prefecture
(2) Premium tastings with visiting winemakers from Miyazaki and Kawasaki, accompanied by explanations
(3) A tour of the world’s first hydrogen hotel introducing its sustainability initiatives
(4) A talk with winemakers and government representatives from Miyazaki Prefecture and Kawasaki City
Scheduled speakers include Seiji Akao, President and Representative Director of Tsuno Wine Co., Ltd.; Mitsugu Yamada, President and Representative Director of agricultural corporation Carnaest Co., Ltd.; and Eriko Matsuo, Representative Director of the OIV Registered Varieties Council.
