From Thursday, March 14, Ryohin Keikaku Co., Ltd., operator of Muji, will sell Kawachi Grape Syrup in limited quantities at 11 Muji stores in Kansai.
Here are the details.
About Kawachi Grape Syrup
The syrup is made using lees that are produced and normally discarded during wine and grape juice production at Katashimo Wine Food Co., Ltd. in Osaka.
Ryohin Keikaku established regional business divisions in September 2021 to promote community-based initiatives.
The Kyoto-Nara division developed the grape syrup by making use of sediment removed during wine and grape juice production.
What It Contains
The lees contain grape solids, yeast and tartrates.
Because they include wine yeast, the syrup has rich umami and depth with a faint yeast aroma.
Kawachi Grape Multipurpose Syrup is priced at 750 yen including tax.
If you are in Kansai, be sure to check it out.
