Karuizawa Asama Prince Hotel to Hold “KARUIZAWA asamariage” from November 1

Karuizawa Asama Prince Hotel will hold “KARUIZAWA asamariage” from Saturday, November 1 through Thursday, December 18, 2025.

The event is the hotel’s first collaboration with Chateau Mercian Mariko Winery and will feature “Menu MARIKO.”

Here are the details.

About “KARUIZAWA asamariage”

“KARUIZAWA asamariage” features “Menu MARIKO,” a pairing dinner created through a collaboration between Karuizawa Asama Prince Hotel and Chateau Mercian Mariko Winery.

A special course by Executive Chef Yuma Aoki, highlighting local ingredients centered on Ueda City, is paired with wines selected by sommelier Mitsunari Isa to create a food-and-wine encounter available only here.

On Sunday, November 2 during the event period, an autumn Obuse and winery tour will also be held, combining regional food culture with a tourism experience.

Through “KARUIZAWA asamariage,” the hotel hopes to offer a special culinary encounter where the rich nature, local ingredients and culture of the Karuizawa area come together.

About “Menu MARIKO”

“Menu MARIKO” is a pairing dinner centered on dishes made with ingredients from Ueda, Nagano Prefecture, home to Chateau Mercian Mariko Winery, accompanied by wines selected by sommelier Isa.

For example, “SOBA” — Shinshu soba / walnut / scallop — is paired with Mariko sparkling wine.

“SANADAMARU” — Sanada-maru / black garlic / smoked flavors — is paired with Mariko Merlot, among other combinations expressing Ueda.
