The Treasured Wine "Inami Merlot" Crafted to Revive a Historical Winery! Sales Launched on the Crowdfunding Service "Makuake"!

King Brewing Co., Ltd. has begun offering "Inami Merlot" to the general public for the first time starting Tuesday, September 17, through the crowdfunding service "Makuake".

"Inami Merlot" is a wine crafted with the aim of reviving "Banshu Vineyard," a national winery that once existed in Inami Town.

Here are the details.

About "Inami Merlot"

"Inami Merlot" is a wine produced aiming to revive "Banshu Vineyard," a national winery that once stood in Inami Town.

Already 12 years have passed since King Brewing Co., Ltd. began cultivating its own Merlot in April 2012.

Due in part to limited production volumes, it is a precious wine that was previously not for sale and only served at local events, receptions, and similar gatherings.

Under these circumstances, to create an opportunity for as many people as possible to experience it, a limited run of 200 bottles is being shipped via "Makuake," a support purchasing service for new products and experiences.

To allow consumers to savor and enjoy its nouveau-like fresh flavor, it is being offered in half-size bottles rather than full bottles.

Special Sets Also Available!

"Inami Merlot" has received high acclaim from local sommeliers, who note that it is "ideal for tasting the freshness inherent to the grapes."

This time, a set paired with "Pain d'épices" from EN PLEIN CIEL, a special brand by "Patisserie KuRi" run by Chef Kurihara—who trained at the renowned Ashiya bakery "Bigot no Mise"—is also being offered.

With the dedicated commitment that "half of the ingredients consist of honey harvested in Inami Town," its rich flavor is said to pair exceptionally well with the fresh "Inami Merlot."
