The new "My Alcohol Type Diagnostic Service" feature on the smartphone app for alcohol beginners "Hajime no 100-bon" is fascinating!

"Hajime no 100-bon" is a smartphone app for alcohol beginners developed by Imadeya Co., Ltd., which operates liquor store brands such as "IMADEYA" and "Imadeya (sub-brand)."

As a new feature, the "My Alcohol Type Diagnostic Service" has been pre-released on iOS.

This new feature has a unique approach: analyzing data from veteran drinkers using machine learning.

Let us introduce what kind of content it offers.

Determining users' sensibility types toward alcoholic beverages

In the "My Alcohol Type Diagnostic Service," users first review 12 target alcoholic beverages (sake, wine) selected from the 100 drinks, including Japanese wine, introduced and sold within the app.

It is designed to determine the user's sensibility type toward alcoholic beverages.

Until now, most alcohol review and diagnostic services were taste-based, starting from the five basic tastes (sourness, bitterness, sweetness, pungency/spiciness, saltiness).

However, how one perceives the five basic tastes varies from person to person, and it is difficult without accumulating a certain level of experience.

Therefore, with the desire to "let people enjoy alcoholic beverages more casually," IMADEYA adopted a review format that likens alcoholic beverages to human personalities.

They adopted 64 keywords that have long been used to describe alcoholic beverages, such as "mischievous," "dignified," and "having a strong core," as review items; it is said to be an innovative service where diagnosis is based on the sensibility of which keywords one uses to express taste.

Presenting veteran drinkers of the same type!

There are 16 sensibility types featured in this service.

They are said to have been calculated using machine learning from data of 44 IMADEYA staff members who can be called alcohol veterans.

A feature of this service is that, along with the diagnostic result, a veteran drinker close to the user's sensibility is introduced, showing: "Among alcohol veterans, you are closest to this person!"

Users can learn the "top 3 favorites" of the presented veteran user, allowing them to enjoy a service that digitally expresses the liquor store's essential value of discovering unknown alcoholic beverages through people.

Enjoy alcohol more casually!

When enjoying Japanese wine and various other alcoholic beverages, one naturally wonders about professional opinions and what people with the same sensibility choose.

You have nothing to lose by trying this app.
