Sapporo Excel Hotel Tokyu Offers Japanese Afternoon Tea with Furano Wine from June 1

Japanese restaurant Karamatsu on the second floor of Sapporo Excel Hotel Tokyu will offer “Japanese Afternoon Tea — Scent of Furano Lavender” on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays from June 1 through August 31, 2025.

A value plan featuring Furano Wine will also be available.

Here are the details.

About “Japanese Afternoon Tea — Scent of Furano Lavender”

Karamatsu's Japanese afternoon tea has been so popular since its August 2024 debut that reservations have been difficult to secure.

For this third edition, inspired by Furano in midsummer, the menu includes aromatic sweets made with local specialty lavender and refreshing savory dishes.

Six lavender-themed sweets are offered, with Lavender Anmitsu as a highlight.

Guests can use a traditional tokoroten press to extrude and immediately taste tokoroten from Izu Kappa made with premium 100% Izu tengusa seaweed, creating a distinctive hands-on experience.

A Value Plan with Furano Wine

Alongside the tokoroten, the menu includes popular sweets from Hokkaido confectioner Morimoto and a new-style nikujaga, among other notable dishes.

Furano Wine will also be sold at a special limited price during the period.

A meal plan with three glasses of Furano Wine is available as well, letting guests choose any three from red, white and sparkling wines.

Why not enjoy pairing Furano Wine with this new-style Japanese afternoon tea?
