About Loof

"Loof Tsutanoie" was opened by LOOF Inc., which operates "whole-house rental traditional kominka inns."
It is a trending company that currently operates 7 whole-house rental inns, mainly in Yamanashi Prefecture, revitalizing traditional folk houses around 100 years old.
Each inn offers three "experience" menus unique to the local area.
- "Fire Experience" (time gathered around a bonfire)
- "Time Experience" (introduction to the history and culture carved into the kominka)
- "Land Experience" (calligraphy, chopstick making, Japanese confectionery making, etc.)
They are focusing their efforts on creating unique spaces that only such traditional kominka houses can provide.
About "Loof Tsutanoie"

"Loof Tsutanoie" is a whole-house rental Japanese-Western style residence born in Katsunuma, the birthplace of Japan's wine culture dissemination.
Built in the early Showa period, the inn is a renovated mansion with a spacious garden that was the birthplace of the late political merchant Kenji Osano.
A rustic and calming tatami room leads along a long engawa veranda to a Western-style building with a completely different impression.
There is a dining room where you can leisurely enjoy your meal in a glamorous atmosphere, and an indoor kura storehouse converted into a theater lounge.
Enjoying issyobin (1.8-liter bottle) wine from a teacup and tasting 3 types of "Koshu"

Born in an area lined with wineries, this inn offers its own unique charm.
Naturally, an experience menu for enjoying Katsunuma wine is also prepared.
First, you can enjoy 1.8-liter issyobin wine—which people have drunk as chabudai wine (table wine) since the early Meiji period when winemaking began in this region—served in teacups just like in those days.
You can enjoy comparing three varieties of "Koshu," the signature grape variety of Katsunuma wine.
Of course, for the dinner course prepared on a teppan iron griddle right in front of you, a curated list featuring Yamanashi wines is also provided.
As an optional service, an experience of bottling draft wine at a winery 5 minutes by car from the inn is also available.
You can spend the ultimate day fully enjoying Katsunuma wine.
Wine tourism unique to Katsunuma!

While enjoying local wines while staying at modern hotels & ryokan is not bad, spending time at an inn where you can feel the true spirit of the land is a truly luxurious experience.
"Loof Tsutanoie" is an exclusive accommodation limited to one group per day.
If you are interested, please check out the inn right now.
