"Sparkling Wine Day," the first collaborative project between Cross Hotel Sapporo and Interlink Japan Co., Ltd. aimed at expanding Hokkaido wine consumption, will be held.

About "Sparkling Wine Day"
Hokkaido is an attention-grabbing wine region that has seen a remarkable increase in the number of wineries in recent years.
"Sparkling Wine Day" was planned with the wish for people to casually enjoy this Hokkaido wine not only when dining out, but also at hotels and home.
Under the theme of "Cheers with Hokkaido's Japanese wine," this project designates three days in September and three days in December as "Sparkling Wine Day," featuring introductions to recommended Hokkaido sparkling wines by wine experts and talk events at Cross Hotel Sapporo and wine shops within Sapporo City.
At Cross Hotel Sapporo, sparkling wine tastings will be prepared for guests staying during the period, along with planned sales of accommodation packages that include sets of Hokkaido wine.
About the Various Offerings
During "Sparkling Wine Day," these initiatives will be available within Cross Hotel Sapporo:
- Tasting event in the lobby lounge: "Sparkling Lounge"
- Anniversary plan with Hokkaido sparkling wine
- Lunch with Hokkaido sparkling wine
At the "Sparkling Lounge," hotel guests will be served one complimentary glass from five recommended sparkling wines selected by Saori Abe, representative of Interlink Japan and a Japan Sommelier Association certified Wine Expert.
In addition, the anniversary plan with Hokkaido sparkling wine is reportedly an anniversary accommodation plan featuring a set of sparkling wine and snacks selected by Ms. Abe.
Relax and Get Acquainted with Hokkaido Wine
To help people learn more about this project, both companies have launched "FUDO," a portal site for discovering Hokkaido wine.
In addition to introductions to Hokkaido wineries, recommended wines, and wine shops, the site is reportedly packed with content that visitors can easily try starting that very day, such as features on grape varieties and how to enjoy wine at home by Saori Abe, as well as recipes for wine-pairing snacks developed by chefs at Cross Hotel Sapporo.
Hokkaido wine is currently experiencing a major boom.
