Hatsuhana, a small luxury hotel in Hakone-Yumoto, will launch a limited-time accommodation plan featuring wines from Hirakawa Winery from Saturday, July 12, 2025.
The plan pairs Hokkaido wines with each dish, making it a must-see option for Japanese-wine fans.

About the Collaboration Plan
Hirakawa Winery produces and sells wine, sparkling wine and cider in Yoichi, Hokkaido, an area known for fruit growing.
Founder Atsuo Hirakawa is a professional with broad knowledge of food and wine, combining viticulture and winemaking experience gained at wineries around the world with sommelier-service skills developed at numerous fine-dining restaurants.
The accommodation plan in collaboration with Hirakawa Winery will offer a special modern kaiseki dinner in which guests can enjoy wine pairings selected to match each dish.
The special dinner combines carefully crafted dishes by Hatsuhana Executive Chef Masato Nakajo with seven Hirakawa Winery wines by the glass selected by winemaker and sommelier Atsuo Hirakawa.
About the Winery Maker’s Dinner
On Friday, July 11, the hotel will also offer a special-event accommodation plan, “Hirakawa Winery Maker’s Dinner — A Feast with Modern Japanese Cuisine,” featuring Atsuo Hirakawa, founder of Hirakawa Winery Co., Ltd. and agricultural corporation Hirakawa Farm.
Before dinner, guests will enjoy an aperitif in a corner of the lobby lounge with greetings from Hirakawa and Hatsuhana Executive Chef Nakajo. During dinner, Hirakawa will visit each private-style dining table, serving as sommelier while speaking directly with staying guests.
He will discuss the wines selected for the dishes, explain their appeal and recommend bottles.
