On Sunday, October 20, 2024, the "Habikino Meat Festival feat. Nippon Food Festival 2024" will be held at Ishikawa Riverside Park.
While the event allows visitors to enjoy wines from Habikino, an aburakasu contest will also be held, featuring dishes competing with Habikino City's specialty, "aburakasu."

A Gourmet Event Where You Can Also Enjoy Wines from Habikino
One of Habikino City's local industries is meat processing, which boasts a history of over 100 years.
"Habikino Meat Festival feat. Nippon Food Festival 2024" is a gourmet event where you can enjoy a variety of dishes prepared with fresh meat sourced from meat wholesalers in Habikino City.
Furthermore, alcoholic beverages paired with the food will also be served, offering plenty of opportunities to fully enjoy Habikino wines familiar to Japanese wine fans, such as Asuka Wine and Kawachi Wine.
It is truly a celebration of meat and wine.
Pairing Aburakasu with Wine Too!
At this gourmet event, the aburakasu contest "Osaka Aburaqus Grand Prix" will also take place, where dishes featuring Habikino City's specialty "aburakasu" compete.
The "Osaka Aburaqus Grand Prix" is held with the aim of introducing more people to Habikino City's local specialty food, "aburakasu," and encouraging them to adopt it as an everyday ingredient, serving as a contest to co-develop new local gourmet dishes.
Unique dishes scheduled to enter include beef skirt steak & kasu-topped beef tendon bowls, crispy spring rolls bursting with the umami of aburakasu, and rice balls featuring an outstanding pairing of aburakasu and miso.
