“Grande Polaire” is Sapporo Breweries Ltd.’s flagship Japanese wine brand.

To strengthen communication around the brand, the company has signed an advisory agreement with comedian Higuchi-kun of Hige Danshaku, appointing him as brand ambassador.

Here are the details.

About Grande Polaire

Grande Polaire was launched in 2003 as the flagship wine brand of Sapporo Breweries, which handles everything from grape growing to winemaking.

Under the concept “Japanese wine that connects people and passion,” Grande Polaire focuses on creating wines that allow drinkers to connect with the values the brand has long cherished: the terroir of each region, the individuality of the grapes, and the passion of the producers.

The company owns vineyards in Hokkaido, the birthplace of Sapporo Breweries, and in Nagano, which is well suited to the cultivation of European grape varieties.

Grande Polaire wines have earned high evaluations for quality at international competitions and the Japan Wine Competition.

About the Brand Ambassador

The newly appointed brand ambassador for Grande Polaire is comedian Higuchi-kun of Hige Danshaku.

With his broad knowledge of Japanese wine and efforts to communicate its appeal, Higuchi-kun has been welcomed as ambassador as the brand works to increase its value through more active communication about Grande Polaire.

Grande Polaire is shaping up for an interesting 2025.

Keep an eye on what the brand does next.
