Chateau Jun’s “Gabunomi Chateau Jun” has been refreshed with an updated version of its original design and is now offered in three varieties: red, white and a newly added orange wine.
The orange wine is a new addition to the lineup and is scheduled for release in early May.
Here are the details.
About “Gabunomi Chateau Jun”
“Gabunomi Chateau Jun” is a Chateau Jun product created around the idea of “pursuing an easygoing style for enjoying wine.”
Its approachable product name, package design and pricing are all intended to dispel the image that wine is difficult and to make wine easier to enjoy.
This time, an orange wine joins the existing red and white wines.
The package design has also been renewed based on the original design.
The nostalgic look may feel familiar to some and fresh to others, while the appearance and price are designed to encourage younger consumers and people who do not usually drink wine to reach for a bottle casually.
About the Wines
The newly released orange wine is dry and retains more complexity and tannin than a typical white wine, making it especially well suited to richly flavored dishes and foods seasoned with spices.
The dry white, “Gabunomi White,” has taut acidity and a crisp finish, followed gradually by savory umami. It pairs well with fish, chicken, pork and vegetables, making it highly versatile with food. In hot weather it can also be enjoyed over ice.
“Gabunomi Red” offers familiar berry and candy-like aromas and gently complements home-style dishes seasoned with soy sauce, mirin and similar ingredients.
Serving it chilled is also recommended, allowing drinkers to enjoy how its flavor changes with temperature.
All three wines are made with 100% Yamanashi-grown grapes.
