About "Cheese Fun! Fan! Fun!"
"Cheese Fun! Fan! Fun!" is an event that conveys the deliciousness of Japanese cheese.
For this year's "Japan Cheese Awards 2024," 367 entries from 120 cheese workshops across 34 prefectures have been confirmed, with 25 workshops participating for the first time.
A new "Whey Category" has been established in the judging divisions, highlighting the utilization of whey, which has been drawing increasing attention in recent years.
Furthermore, inside the venue, visitors can taste and purchase carefully selected, rare domestic natural cheeses gathered from cheese workshops across the country by choosing them while conversing with producers nationwide, allowing everyone to discover their own way to enjoy cheese.
Workshops to Experience Being a Judge Will Also Be Held!
At the event, the ＜Japan Cheese Awards Judging Venue / Judging Workshop＞ will select the most outstanding item as the Grand Prix winner from among the natural cheeses entered from all across the country.
In addition, a workshop offering a simulated experience of what points are evaluated during actual judging has also been prepared.
Moreover, the ＜Stage Content＞ will feature participatory programs starting with a tape-cutting ceremony using the extra-large cheese that won the previous Grand Prix, followed by a stage introducing producers and organizations invigorating cheese across their communities, a quiz competition, an inter-group Cheese King championship, cheese cooking, and more.
With event exhibitions, photo spots, and a kids' space also prepared at the venue, there are plenty of attractions for cheese fans to enjoy.
