Cave de Auto Co., Ltd. has entered into a contract with Master Sommelier Toru Takamatsu.
This marks the third consecutive year of an ambassador contract with him.
Here are the details.
About Toru Takamatsu
Toru Takamatsu has entered into an ambassador contract with Cave de ReRelax Co., Ltd. for the third consecutive year.
Born in Sydney, Australia, he is a figure deeply versed in wine who became the first Japanese Master Sommelier in 2019.
In May 2021, he moved to Yoichi Town, Hokkaido as a Local Vitalization Co-operator and worked as a trainee at Domaine Takahiko.
In 2023, he released Yoichi Blanc Toru Chardonnay, a wine bearing his own name made at Domaine Takahiko, as a hometown tax donation return gift wine for Yoichi Town, raising expectations for his future activities as a producer as well.
About His Activities as an Ambassador
During Mr. Takamatsu's term, plans include creating content such as features and articles for the Cave de ReRelax Co., Ltd. online store, as well as holding seminars (including webinars) centered on Japanese wine.
Mr. Takamatsu commented: "This will be my third year as an ambassador, but there is still so much of my own knowledge and experience that I want to share. Over these past three years, I have been single-mindedly researching Chardonnay, the variety I aim to focus on, so there may be a few slightly biased webinars, but please look forward to them. In the future, I hope to make wine from grapes myself and convey the fascination of wine through that."
Let us certainly look forward to Mr. Takamatsu's success this year as well.
