Karuizawa Marriott Hotel has launched “NAGANO WINE Discovery 2026,” a wine series at its Grill & Dining G restaurant that invites guests to travel through Shinshu’s seasons and terroir by the glass.
The program runs from Sunday, March 1 through Sunday, May 31, 2026.

About NAGANO WINE Discovery in 2026
NAGANO WINE Discovery is a program in which the hotel’s Sommelier Excellence, Matoba, selects NAGANO WINE each season and presents it as a tasting set, highlighting wines shaped by the region’s terroir and changing seasons.
The 2026 theme is “Expressing Shinshu’s Four Seasons through NAGANO WINE.” The program seeks to depict the terroir, climate, and changing seasonal scenery through wine aromas and flavors, with the hotel’s Sommelier Excellence selecting glasses that appeal to sight, smell, taste, and the other senses in harmony with Shinshu’s seasons.

NAGANO WINE Discovery 2026 follows the same theme, “Expressing Shinshu’s Four Seasons through NAGANO WINE,” using aroma and flavor to evoke terroir, climate, and seasonal scenery. The hotel’s Sommelier Excellence selects wines designed to engage the senses in step with Shinshu’s seasons.
The first installment, “NAGANO WINE Discovery 2026 — Spring,” selects three spring-themed wines from Kusunoki Winery in Suzaka, Nagano City, in the northern Chikuma River Wine Valley.
