Aiming to Enhance the Appeal of Koshu, a Sacred Land of Japanese Wine! Katsunuma Budounooka Launches Rakuten Furusato Nozei Crowdfunding

Katsunuma Budounooka in Koshu City, Yamanashi Prefecture, has launched a crowdfunding campaign through Rakuten Furusato Nozei.

The initiative is intended to improve tourism resources at Katsunuma Budounooka, one of the area’s key visitor destinations.

About Katsunuma Budounooka

Katsunuma Budounooka is a representative tourism destination in Koshu City, Yamanashi Prefecture, an area known as a sacred land of Japanese wine.

The publicly operated tourism facility offers tastings and sales of around 150 wines produced in the city by local wineries, as well as a panoramic restaurant where visitors can enjoy pairings of authentic French cuisine made with local ingredients and wine.

To make the destination even more attractive for overnight stays, the facility is now conducting a crowdfunding campaign using Japan’s hometown tax donation program.

About the Crowdfunding Campaign

Katsunuma Budounooka is also a wine resort where visitors can enjoy sightseeing, dining and overnight stays in one place, with facilities including the Tenku no Yu hot spring with scenic views, lodging facilities and a barbecue area.

As part of efforts to create a higher-value stay-oriented tourism destination, the project will raise a portion of the funds needed for facility improvements, including renovation of the bathing area at the hot spring facility and construction of a new footbath.

Through these improvements, the facility aims to create an environment where visitors can relax and enjoy both wine and hot springs, further enhance the appeal of Koshu as a sacred land of Japanese wine, and contribute to tourism promotion and economic revitalization across the region.
