On May 20, a large-scale tasting event will be held in Tokyo where visitors can enjoy Japanese wines from across the country without leaving the city.
Its name is the “National Japanese Wine Tasting Tour 2026 in TOKYO.”
Taking advantage of Japan’s unique landscape of more than 500 wineries, the event aims to become the country’s largest Japanese-wine gathering that crosses regional and association boundaries. Its goals are to strongly communicate the appeal of Japanese wine domestically and internationally, create opportunities for younger generations to encounter wine as a rich international culture, promote wine culture, and support the development of wine tourism in Japan.
An U29 ticket is also available at a discounted price for guests aged 29 and under.
It is another effort to encourage younger people to discover wine.
The driving force behind the event is Takeshi Yokokawa, Representative Director of the Foodservice Culture Promotion Association.
